Time for Kids is a
wonderful way to get students interest in what is going on around them. This
website allows students to know what is going on in the world, but in a kid
friendly way with kids ranging from the age of 9-12 years of age reporting the
news. The website provides photos and videos, homework section (all
subjects), and mini sites (holidays, book review, environment, and so much
more). Here is the link below: hope you all enjoy the website!!!

Great tip Jalissa! This resource is not only great for take home assignments, but this would also be great for in-class learning centers.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think about using it for in-class learning centers. Thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeleteI think this website is great! It has lots of different resources that students would love. My favorite thing on this website is the fact that they have information that would interest students such as the Super Bowl, famous hockey players and the newest character on Disney Channel.
ReplyDeleteJalissa, I love Time for Kids and used to subscribe when I taught. I saved all of my old issues from 2008, so I will bring them to class to show you all next week. You're exactly right - They're wonderful for bringing current events and places into the classroom and work well in a center or whole group format. Thanks for sharing this web resource with us!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great way to incorporate current events into our socail studies classrooms! I will definitely be subscribing to this when I teach!
